About the Founder

The Roots

As a woman who rose to leadership roles in public, private, and non-profit sectors and as a female entrepreneur, I’ve navigated through a host of issues women face in the business world while also dealing with the real-life personal issues many of us go through. As a divorced mom, I struggled finding myself after divorce while trying to also raise good kids. As a woman, I’ve dealt with the disparity in simple tasks like taking my car to the garage, calling a home repair person, buying a car and getting a loan. I established Elevare Women to bring that experience to a community of women, all with experiences to share, roadblocks to overcome, and a desire to collaborate, as we create a formidable Sisterhood of smart, capable women enriching, empowering and elevating other women.

Mel Robbins

Mel Robbins is most well known for her “Five Second Rule” (no, not THAT 5-second rule) and more recently High Five Habit but, fun fact, she’s also an attorney who covered the George Zimmerman trial for CNN. Suffice it to say, she made a pretty big career change. We’ve attached an episode of her podcast dealing with changing habits. Check it out and let us know what you think in the Facebook group.

Lisa Nichols

Lisa Nichols was a single mom living on public assistance. Today she’s a best-selling author and a highly sought after motivational speaker. One of the common themes heard from many self-made millionaires, including Lisa, is they knew they had to do it themselves. No one was coming to save them. In this episode Lisa’s shares how to speak with impact. Does her message resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts in the Facebook group.

Brené Brown

Many know Brené Brown as the vulnerability queen – a term that still makes many people squirm, especially people in leadership positions. In this video from Your Inner Child Matters, Brené talks about perfectionism and its relationship to shame. If you haven’t listened to her yet, you may find her talks uncomfortable. If so, that may mean there’s something there to explore. Let us know what you think in the Facebook group.

Dr. Michelle Rozen

This short video clip is enough to get a taste of “The Change Doctor,” Dr. Michelle Rozen. She has a PhD in psychology and leads the field in helping women leaders make changes in themselves, their teams and company culture. If this clip interests you, check out her website at www.drmichellerozen.com and let us know in the Facebook page what you think.

Nischa

Nischa is a relatively unknown YouTuber – relative if you consider 294K subscribers to her YouTube channel compared to the 12 million views on one Brené Brown video. Nischa’s focus is on money. In particular, personal finances and business finances. She is based in the UK but many of her messages are universal. Take a listen and let us know what you think in the Facebook group.

Vanessa Van Edwards

Vanessa Van Edwards is the lead researcher and founder of The Science of People, a human behavior research lab. She calls herself a former awkward person and is renowned for her work on charisma, body language and lie detection. This video is about being underestimated and how to garner respecta and appreciation. Check the video out and let us know what you think in the Facebook group.

Marissa Peer

Marissa Peer is perhaps our most controversial addition to our resource library. She is a “celebrity therapist” whose signature system is “Rapid Transformational Therapy.” Whether you agree or disagree with her approach, she has made a name for herself. Watch her video and tell us your thoughts on the Facebook page.

Luvvie Ajayi Jones

Luvvie Ajayi Jones is a proud professional troublemaker, author and speaker. Her TED Talk, “Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable,” 8+ million views. In this quick clip, she very succinctly explains why she’s proud of being a troublemaker. Give her a watch and check out her website www.luvvie.org and let us know what you think on the Facebook page.
